The mosque renovation proposal aimed to elevate and alleviate two key points within the entire design. The proposal aimed to elevate the existing proportions of the mosque by adding an arcade towards the back which serves as an extension for larger congregation prayers. The design also aimed to reduce the towering impression of the mosque by firstly, reducing the number of minars to just one and secondly, by moving the minar away from the front of mosque. By doing so, the front becomes a design element without it competing with the minar for attention. Similarly, the arcade wraps around the entirety of the design creating a unified structure that offers shade as well as an aesthetic appeal to the overall sacred volume.
